In which case the Zumo XT for me will no longer be fit for purpose, and will no longer do what it's documentation says that it will do. The difference is that the Garmin device is automatically mounted into the /Volume path instead of /mnt/gps (or whatever). Connect the Garmin device to the computer. I hope that I am wrong, but this omission may well be deliberate. Garmin has a product called MapInstall and MapManager for the Mac software version 2.1.3 as of JanuDownload (21.24 MB) It’s similar to Garmin Mapsource. Download and install MapConverter for Windows to convert your unlocked PC maps for use on your Mac. MapManager copies maps and unlock codes into the right place to be accessible by MapInstall and Training Center. I uploaded each of the three map file to Garmin MapInstall, the Mac version of Garmin MapSource. MapInstall installs maps onto your Garmin USB GPS devices and SD card readers.
I have lodged the 2 screen shots below as a source of reference, because web pages can change, and my suspicion is that this page may change before long. That worked fine, and after each map was converted, I copied that file using a 2GB flash drive, and transported the copied file to a G5 Mac running OSX 10.4.10. But technical support were clearly indicating to me that this was the way that I should be able to do it, and I was indicating to him that I knew that, but the facility had been removed in the latest version of Express.
